Move for Youth
Ready…set…MOVE! From May 1–15, my team and I will be taking part in United Way East Ontario’s Move for Youth Challenge. It is a totally free challenge that encourages Canadians to get active and track your steps, all while raising awareness and funds through generous donations for vulnerable children in need of services like mental health, academic support, and access to after-school activities and camps. Their goal is to reach 100 million steps with 1,000 participants, and I know we can help them get there! Whether you walk, bike, run, or do any physical activity, it all counts towards reaching our goal. What better way to turn your walk to work into something great?
Follow the link to learn more and register for the challenge.

Once you’re registered, if you’d like, join our team by searching for “OVYouth-Jeunesse”. I can’t wait to get outside and get active with you all for such a great cause, and see the hundreds of thousands of steps we can rack up together!

The tulip festival is fast approaching!
The National Capital Region is famous for its dazzling displays of colourful tulips — and for good reason. Beginning in late April and continuing into May, close to one million tulips bloom in Ottawa and Gatineau.
As the official gardener of Canada’s Capital, the NCC designs, plants and cares for tulips in the region. That amounts to 100 varieties of tulips, in 120 beds across 30 sites.
